Well, its been a while but I've finally decided to return...I think the only real reason I hae this journal is to keep a tab on all of the books I have read/am reading, so we can start with that:
The Autoimmune Epidemic: Bodies Gone Haywire in a World Out of Balance and the Cutting Edge Medicine that Promises Hope by DonnaNakazawa
Amazing book that really freaked me out. It made me start a pact with myself: no more processed foods, no dark hair dye, no nail polish, green cleaning supplies, etc. Also made me think about specializing in Immunology.
The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury
I first read it in 8th grade and it was my first encounter with Sci-Fi (excluding A Wrinkle in Time...oh, and Dune, but I only read like....12 pages of that so it doesn't count) and I actually liked it. I mean, some of the stories were pretty boring, like that one about the rocket, but all in all, a good read. Not as good as the ensuing discussions with John Michael about alien abduction, rocket science, etc.
The Grenadillo Box by Janet Gleeson
It was good but I didn't finish it, I might check it back out and do so. A little wordy and...I don't know. Not a favorite.
I have a list of others I've read because that's not nearly it, but I don't reallly want to go downstairs and get it. Mostly my time has been taken up by AP Chemistry/AP United States History summer work and cross country training.
